M60

Parker Mountain, May 6, 2003

The below video was the first Parker outing with an M60 - this one (pilot Gary Legerton), has 4 servos and full split functions, allowing crow config for precision landings, plus some awesome mixing potential. For a more elaborate breakdown of the conditions and misc. still shots, Click Here for the Gliderking report.

Here in Southern California, especially in Carlsbad, conditions are usually not very epic. In fact, they are usually marginal, at best. Nonethelss, one must fly, and we have not yet had the chance to get the HP into really beefy lift. While the below video is not of your typical, mind-blowing speed runs, we still feel it is important to show the versatility of the plane, and how much fun can be had on a light-lift day, at our little 40ft bluff in Carlsbad. The conditions were off-angle, and fluctuating between from 5-7mph. This shows the Halfpipe in weak to average conditions, and includes some fun, tip-to-tip zipping & psuedo-racing around, with two halfpipes and an UberMoth; it is a very common style of flight on our little slope... in your face fun!

This is a tiny clip from a long video taken quite a few years ago. It shows two dumb seagulls battling over who is going to mate with my one-of-a-kind "Mini-Shrike" (36" span). It was stalked and almost demolished after being flung backwards a few feet, out of mid air. I nearly hit the deck inverted but managed to pull out just in time... dvc
